So Much Fun This Summer!

We have been very blessed as we enjoy our Summer 2013!

Josh and I were very blessed with a trip to Cozumel to join our friends as they said their vows.

I love this picture of the vows they wrote!
Reminds me of the vows God gave me in His written Word, The Bible!
(He will never leave me or forsake me {Hebrews 13:5} and He is coming back to take me, His Bride to His home He has prepared for me! {Revelation 19})

God continued to amaze me as I enjoyed so many blessings!

Even the tiniest little blessing like a folded robe with a sash folded in the shape of an S!

He continually reminded me of His greatness

and how He knows the number of the sand on the seashore, AMAZING!

Just the number of the grains of sand on my feet alone was amazing! :)

We also got to enjoy my sister's family (they live in Michigan we don't get to see them very often).  She and her family came here to have a surprise retirement party for my dad...

Then we got to join them in Branson for family time!

Even though I have received so many blessings, satan still likes to remind me of the yuck in my life.

I was having "one of those days" while I had my Bible study on the screened in porch of our rented cabin.  The Holy Spirit reminded me to, "Cast all my cares upon Him for HE cares for me."  1 Peter 5:7
He then reminded me of how HE even cares (is intrested in, and concerned) for the ugly and annoying crows!

"Are not 5 sparrows sold for 2 farthings, (a Roman coin) and not one of them is forgotten before God?  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear not therefore: YE ARE OF MORE VALUE than many sparrows."  Luke 12:6&7

Just as I was reading that verse in God's Word, check out what He sent to join me ...

I didn't get to capture them as they first landed close by, but I quick picked up my iPod to video them and remember that sweet moment with God... I also was unable to finish the video but you get the jest of what God was showing me.  :)
I love it when God does Romantic things like that.  He sweetly and softly reminds me how much He loves, values and cares for me!

And just for the cherry on top... look what my sister made as her profile pic on FB!

Another blessing!
I got to spend time with my cousin I haven't seen in a  LONG time!

Love, Expecting Nothing in Return?

Did you read the title of today's blog?
Scary huh?
What in the world!?  You ask?
Yep, this is what God has been teaching me lately.
Years ago the Lord tried teaching me this and I didn't listen very well.
He obviously wants to get my attention on the subject again since I didn't get it the first time.  :)
"Speak Lord your servant is listening." 1 Samuel 3:10
This is the model of love Christ showed us over and over in His word.
"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 New King James
God's Word does not say, "endure all things if the other person gives love back",  "love only if the other person loves you",  "rejoice if everything in your life is hunky-dorey",  "bear all things if everyone is kind to you"....
God's Word DOES say, "In the world ye shall have tribulation..."  This verse follows up with..."but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
The second part of this verse is where God pours strength, courage and love into me to keep going, to keep giving, and to keep loving... by remembering to keep my eyes on Him, The One who has been down this road I am walking on.  He knows what it feels like to love and get nothing in return.  He has already won the victory!  He poured out His love for me when I was His enemy!
"But God commendeth (introduced) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life."  Romans 5:8 & 9.
False prophets today like to say,
"If you give love, it will be given back to you..."  Hmmmmmmm..... I don't think that's what happen to my Jesus after He poured out His love for the world.  He ended up beaten, bruised, torn up (unrecognizable), hanging on a cross and gasping for His next breath!
I don't call that being "given back" love.
If God has called you to love someone who doesn't reciprocate love,  God will be faithful to His promises in His Word.
He will:
Call you His Daughter
Call you His Beloved
He will call you a Child of the Living God
Romans 9:25-26 "And he saith also in Osee I will call them my people, which were not my people, and her beloved, which was not beloved.  And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the Living God."
When you choose to surrender to Him, He will:
Bless you
Choose you
Adopt you
Accept you
Redeem you and
Forgive you!
(So thankful God taught me this through a Beth Moore study)  :)
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;...Ephesians 1:3-7
Keep loving my friend.  You can't do it through your own strength.  Let God pour Himself into your life and Himself manifest through you...
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
Revelation 4:11
