Do you cringe at evil?   Do you sigh and cry for the abominations =

something disgusting, an abhorrence; espec. idolatry or an idol:- abominable (custom, thing) happening all around you?   Or do you go with the flow and accept "everything"?

There are MANY things happening in our midst that God hates.

In Ezekiel 9:4 the LORD told a man with a writer's inkhorn to "set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. vs. 5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:"

So the people who sighed and cried for the idolatry customs that were happening were spared. The ones who didn't think twice about it were destroyed.

I pray we would be different than the world.

The LORD told Ezekiel, "the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not." Ezekiel 9:9b

May we never say or think God has abandoned us and left us to fend for ourselves.

"When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the LROD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. " Deuteronomy 4:30-31

Please don't be accepting and not think twice of the evil going on around us, but sigh and cry for the abominations that are being done in our midst!

"Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy." Nememiah 13:22b

  1. Well written! In Colorado we are surrounded by nine different fires destroying everything in their path! But we pray because we know God has a purpose for it all! Perhaps many more believers will come to know His glorious name!
I want to ask you to pray for my friend Koko. She is Japanese (a Buddhist) and recently left her job at the office where I work. Her hubby and his mom (she lives on the property they own) pick on her and recently even her 9 year old daughter has started to attack her verbally due to her decision to quit her job! She is a kind and very dear lady but she is also so vulnerable and she feels so alone! It is breaking my heart to see the pain she is in. I would hope the Lord would put her into a new and different job and that her family would realize what a gift she is and stop their picking at her! I do appreciate your prayers! :)
