Almost 3 Months Later...

Josh got me a computer for CHRISTmas! I am finally able to update.
We have been home for almost 3 months. I can believe it, and I can't believe it.   In a way it seems as if he has always been with us and the Ukraine trip is like a distant dream. The trip home went well after we finally got on the plane. He scared Tressa and I as we thought he was going to get sick in the airport and again on the airplane. But he didn't and slept a good part.

It was SO comforting to have family and friends greet us as we arrived home. What a breath of fresh air!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us financially, emotionally and prayerfully. In a perfect world, I would send each of you a thank you card with our family picture- our family that you helped bring together - but since we don't live in a perfect world, know that I thank the Lord for each of you.

Thank you from the Josh Stubbs Family!
Vitaliy is doing very well at learning English. More than I ever thought possible. He is catching on very quickly and at times it's hard to get a word in edge wise. He is really dealing with his stuttering, (that he's had for years), if you think about it, please pray for him and for us as how to help him. If anyone has ideas of how to help him in this area of speech, please let me know. He went to school for 2 hours a day before CHRISTmas break, but is now going all day.  His sixth grade class is in contact with a sixth grade class in Ukraine. This is very exciting for me and I hope it is for him as well. All the kids in his class are so excited for him to be in their class. So cute to watch them all call for him to come and join them in their basketball games during recess.

When school is not in session, he and Ian have been very busy enjoying the great outdoors.
They built this fort all by themselves!
As a mother it's hard to let him use the axe, but he assured me his brother taught him in Ukraine and he used it at his sister's house. He definately looks like a pro chopping logs. My friend says he looks like a man swinging that axe. :)
He also loves riding his bike he was blessed with from a friend. The more he falls, the better of ride.
He loved the CHRISTmas lights this CHRISTmas season. We drove to town to sit infront of a house, for what seemed like hours, he loved it! I can just imagine his future home being like a movie covered in millions of lights!  He LOVES CHRISTmas lights!

He of course loved all of this CHRISTmas season and REALLY enjoyed opening his gifts.

Ellie and Ian are doing great as they adjust to having a new brother. Ellie encourages him in the latest fashion. (so funny to hear her tell him to lower his pants, so they're not up to his bellybutton, and, "don't tuck that shirt in!" ) She even lets him play her iPod (if he agrees to not bother her cat :) Ian loves sharing a room with his brother and i often have to ask them to quit talking to go to sleep!

So thank you everyone for all of your support! I can't wait to help more families in our community welcome orphans into their homes, Lord willing! The Holy Spirit gave me a great fundraising idea for next Christmas. Wrapping presents for donation only. I went out day after CHRISTmas and grabbed some after CHRISTmas clearance wrapping paper and will store it for next December. Lord willing, we can have several days in December of 2012 where we can invite the community to come and let us wrap their CHRISTmas presents then they can just leave a donation. All money raised would go to help another family bring an orphan into their home! So if you feel like you have extra CHRISTmas paper, or find a great deal, I would love to store it for you so we can use it next year.

"God sets the lonely in families..." Psalm 68:6

We cannot do this alone! Only through the Lord. There are many orphans in the states as we speak on the same hosting program Vitaliy came through. Please pray for these little ones to find their forever family. Please seek the Lord if He would have you to host an orphan in your home this Summer. Lord willing, we can help bring New Horizons for Children to Kansas Summer 2012, and help other children just like our Vitaliy.

Blessed be the name of the Lord!
