Travel Time!

We got word and will be traveling August 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!  EKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

 Please keep us in your prayers when you think about us.  I am SO nervous to say the least.  This is unknown territory for me.  It's so great knowing that there have been people that have gone before us and have adopted from this area before.  We get to speak with a family this evening that just got back from adopting from the area we are going to!  Praise the Lord, He is so good and into details!  :) Please also pray for our son, he is being filled with lies about life in America.  I can't imagine standing in his shoes.  Oh Lord Jesus, comfort him... check out God's words in Psalm 140

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves.

I am inserting Vitaliy's name in this verse and praying it for him.  Just think, these orphans and millions others do not have anyone to pray for them specifically!  The evil man (and woman) are warring against these vulnerable ones and poison is under their lips!  This means WAR!  Let's fight the spiritual battle for these children!  They need mommies and daddies to pray for them!  They don't know how to pray and many are too young to know even about prayer!

As for fundraising, we are having a Mommy's Day Out fundraiser at our church this Monday the 8th and again on the 15 & 22. So please, if you live in the area, feel free to drop your little ones off from 9am-12pm, ages 0-12 at the church, 1221 E 33rd and let us entertain them while you go and do back to school shopping or grab coffee with a friend.  Then when it's time for you to pick them up, if you wouldn't mind dropping a donation in the donation jar we would SO appreciate it.   :)  If you do plan on attending, just let me know via email or comment on the blog.

Thank you so much for your prayers.  Vitaliy, other orphans, and our family thanks you.

  1. tonya - wow! The time has come! I'm so excited for you guys! And for the record, I was EXTREMELY nervous when we went. Leaving our kids for 5 weeks, flying for the FIRST time ever, going somewhere were I didn't speak the language. I wasn't even sure how I was going to do it, to be honest. But God is faithful and gives the strength to accomplish that which He has called His children to. Praying for you!

  2. Your family really put their heart into this entire process. What a beautiful story you shall tell throughout the years!
